2004年第一个孤立石墨烯发现后激起相当大的科学活动，现已引起广大国际研究团队致力于石墨烯独特材料之基础性质，以及丰富可预见的应用领域，诸如：奈米电子(高频元件)、电子机械、光学、光电子、感知器、及奈米电子机械系统等等。目前世界大厂研究机构如IBM、三星、台积电等公司皆投入大量资源于石墨烯的未来应用研究，工研院机械所亦积极投入成长大面积石墨烯及直接合成石墨片技术研发。本次研讨会邀请国内外学者专家，将作石墨烯之基础原理、製作技术、未来应用及市场的介绍，期使未来业者能迅速切入石墨烯相关应用，以带动石墨烯相关产业蓬勃发展。
The discovery and first isolation of graphene in 2004 has sparked a considerable scientific activity that has now established a broad international community with interest in both fundamental properties of a unique material, together with a wealth of foreseen applications in fields as nanoelectronics (high-frequency devices,..), electromechanics, optics, photonics, sensing, NEMS and so on. The world’s manufacturers and research institutions, such as IBM, Samsung, etc, put their full effort into research of graphene future applications. The graphene has potential market applications and unlimited business opportunities for the domestic manufacturersMSL/ITRI has involved in research of directly growing large-area graphene and synthesizing sheet graphene technologies. International scholars and experts will be invited in this workshop to introduce the graphene basic principles, production technologies, future applications and markets.
